Yesterday in Mrs. Gerberding's class, Mrs. Vartanian, Nicholas' grandmother, came to do a lesson on Balloons Over Broadway. The class learned all about how her daughter (Nicholas' aunt) was in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the outfit Mrs. Vartanian has on was her daughter's drill team outfit she wore in the parade! She taught us how the idea for the balloons came from marionettes. At the end of the book, she brought marionettes for the kids to take home, a very special memory from the fun day. We hope everyone watches the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday morning!

Yesterday in Math our 5th graders ended their "adding decimals" unit by budgeting a Thanksgiving meal!

Ms. Courtney's 4th graders and Mrs. Lucash's 1st graders had fun buddying up for a Thanksgiving project.

The Art Club hosted their Pre-K-2nd grade Snacks and Splatters event last Thursday after school. Students had a blast painting! Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser.

Today we celebrated the 67th Day of the school year with an "underground" 6-7 day for staff! Staff all wore their "6-7" gear and let students guess what was going on!

Mrs. Carter's Art Club hosted the 3rd-8th graders' Snacks and Splatters event Tuesday after school. Students painted, ate snacks and had lots of fun! Our next painters - PreK-2nd graders - will stay after school today to paint!
