Mrs. Williams' 6th Grade ELA students were supposed to read both fiction and nonfiction books for their 3rd Quarter AR Project. They were then to choose one book and complete either a diorama, poster, book-in-a-bag, or slideshow portraying characters/settings/events from the book.
There is a photo of each class with their projects, along with photos of the dioramas.
The kids who chose to do a diorama were then entered into what has become an Annual Diorama Contest. The kids' dioramas were placed onto tables in the lobby, and teachers/staff had a week to cast their votes for their favorites!
This year's class winners were: 6A Olivia Johnson (Mint to Be- Christmas), 6B Colton Roberts (Comic Con), and 6C Nick Marsh (World War I). They receive a snack or drink of their choice from Mrs. Williams.
The overall winner was Miranda Marsh from 6A (Alice in Wonderland). She will receive lunch from Walton's from Mrs. Williams!
Mrs. Williams wants to thank all the parents for help with assisting their kiddos' creativity on the projects, and she also wants to thank the teachers/staff for helping vote in the Diorama Contest.
The kids did a great job, and Mrs. Williams is so proud of them!

🍀🌈☘️ The Lucky Little Lads and Lassies in Pre-K were on the hunt to catch a leprechaun this week! Every student created their own trap and set them around the room, only to find surprise footprints, glitter and a few tricks the next morning! Too bad for the leprechaun, his shoe got stuck in one of our traps! We used it as bait to lure him back, but he was too quick for us-but he did leave us with a pot of gold goodies, a new book and a leprechaun stuffy! Better Luck next year Pre-K! 🍀
