The Smithton School Student of the Month for September 2022 is Cecily Wood.
Cecily was chosen for this award by the faculty and administration of the school. The award was presented to Cecily for displaying a good work ethic, outstanding character, and good behavior. Cecily also shows respect, leadership, willingness to help her peers, and kindness to others. Cecily will receive a plaque and a gift card from the school.
Cecily is the daughter of Curtis Wood and Ashley Martin. She enjoys reading, listening to music, sketching and playing volleyball.
Cecily's plans for the future are to go to York University in Toronto, Canada and become a neurosurgeon or a psychologist. Her favorite subject is Science with Ms. Hedrick.
Her favorite quote is "like wildflowers, you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would."
